In most cases, tasks have a medium priority when compared to other tasks. That's the reason we chose to have new tasks automatically set to the P3/Medium priority when being created.
If you set a priority higher to Critical (p1) or High (p2), TurboHog will make sure these tasks are scheduled before lower priority tasks.
Priority | Keyboard Shortcuts | Description |
Critical | p1, critical | Takes scheduling priority over all other tasks due in the same timeline. |
High | p2, high | Prioritizes the task above other tasks in the same date range excluding Critical. |
Medium | p3, medium | Default priority; schedules before low priority tasks but below critical/high tasks. |
Low | p4, low | Lowest priority; most flexible with moving around other tasks with higher priorities |
Priorities are a key part of how TurboHog determines your schedule. If something in your schedule seems out of order, the Priority parameter is often the best place to check first. Changing the priority to something higher/lower will reschedule your day around the changes.
You can set priorities for a task when creating it, or you can edit the priority after the task has already been created. Saving an update to the priority will reschedule your day with the new priority considered.
You can quickly set the priority of a task in the task name field using the keyboard shortcuts in the table shown above.
