When a task can't be started until a specific date, you can use the Start Date property to keep the task from appearing on your calendar until then.
Without a defined Start Date, TurboHog assumes the task can be started at any point from the moment it is created.
The Deadline property in Task Creation is the hard due date for that a task must be completed by. Setting a Deadline will help TuboHog prioritize what must be completed by a certain date and help adjust your schedule based around that.
To set a Start Date in task creation, you can type “start DAY/DATE" in the task name.
Example: “Prep for Sales Call start Tuesday”
The above example will tell TurboHog to create a task to Prep for Sales Call starting on the coming Tuesday.
To set a Deadline during task creation, you can type “DAY/DATE” in the task name.
Example: “Prep for Sales Call Friday”
This will create a task to Prep for Sales Call due Friday.
To set a Start Date and Deadline at the same time, you can combine both of the above methods.
Example: “Prep for Sales Call start Tuesday Friday”
TurboHog will process the above example and create a task to Prep for Sales Call that starts appearing on your calendar on Tuesday and is due by Friday.
